Maxim Behar is a globally renown Public Relations expert, Founder, COE and Chairman of the Board of M3 Communications Group, Inc. – a leading company in the field of Public Relations and Social Media in Bulgaria. Maxim is a graduate of Harvard Kennedy School Executive Program in Leadership Decision Making.

He is also Past President of International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO) - the largest and most influential global organization of Public Relations professionals and practitioners in consultancy. In 2016 Maxim was appointed to the Advisory Board of the only Museum of Public Relations - in New York and became the first Bulgarian ever included in the prominent annual Global Power Book of the renowned British weekly PR Week. Same year African Public Relations Association (APRA) appointed Maxim as Ambassador for Europe and Honorary Fellow of the Association. Justin Green is the President of Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management. He is based in Dublin, Ireland. Besides PICL advisory role, Justine is also: The Global Ambassador & Hon. Life Fellow, African Public Relations Association (APRA); Global Ambassador & Hon. Life Fellow, Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK); Life Fellow & former President, Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII); and Hon. Life Fellow, Brazilian Association for Business Communication (ABERJE).

Justin has been actively involved in PICL’s high level programmes, key among them being the communication training for Nairobi County leadership comprising the governor, deputy governor and county ministers.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution and service to the Public Relations industry in Kenya, Justin was awarded an Honorary Life Fellowship by the Association in 2011. Over the years, he has directly participated in many presentations, annual conferences and training programmes across Ethiopia, Nigeria, Morocco, Kenya, Botswana, Rwanda, among others.

As PICL partner and advisor, he has been committed to improving advocacy, education, training programmes and knowledge sharing across the African continent continuing to work with regional, national associations and academic organisations across Botswana, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, Morocco, South Africa, Morocco and Rwanda

In 2009, Justin was appointed Global Ambassador for the Public Relations Society of Kenya and was awarded an Honorary Life Fellowship in 2011 in recognition of his outstanding support to Public Relations standards, education and contribution to the PR industry of Kenyan. Justin continues to provide advisory services to PR professional in Kenya as well as students, educators and PRSK Council Members.

Justin has held professional leadership positions in Ireland. He was President, Vice President, Treasurer, Chair of Education, Chair of Membership & Member Services, Chair of Remuneration Committee, Director International Relationships and Chair of Corporate Governance, Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) and a Director, Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) for over 15 years.

Martin is the Programmes and Marketing Manager at PICL. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing Option and has studied the most successful ways to grow a business through marketing and communication. Martin has skills that bring immediate and strategic value to our clients.

Martin Plays a major role in Peterson Integrated Communications limited in the following areas: • Devising and presenting ideas and strategies. • Promotional activities. • Writing reports. • Organizing training events. • Monitoring performance. • Development of public relations and communications strategies to support program goals and increase awareness. • Database maintenance which includes participant and prospect information and mailing list. • Administrative support in the development, implementation, and marketing of programs.

His skills suite comprise interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills, IT skills and creativity skills Martin is in the Centre of all marketing communication programmes for PICL.

Prof. Wambui Kiai is a consultant with PICL, leading the function of research and strategic communication. Wambui is an Associate Professor at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Nairobi. She is the immediate former Director of the School where she successfully spearheaded the revitalization of the School leading to its identification by UNESCO in the year 2007, as one of the top 12 training institutions in communication and media in Africa. She is a founding member of the Media Council of Kenya. She was appointed to a Task Force on the reform of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) in 2012.

Wambui has vast training and research experience, in the areas of Health Communication, Gender and Socio-legal issues, Broadcasting, Peace and Communication and Specialised Writing. Wambui has published in international journals and she has co-edited and co-authored books and book chapters with others. These include: Voices of Kenyan Media Veterans: 70 Years of Communication and Media in Kenya (with Muiru Ngugi) (2011); The Media in Kenya: Evolution, Effects and Challenges (with George Nyabuga) (2011); Media Excellence: Issues in Practice and Training in East Africa (with Kiiru Sam, Muhoro Njeri & Ugangu Wilson) (2009), among others

Wambui is an accomplished researcher, with diverse experience, having worked for the Association of African Women for Research and Development (AAWORD), Forest Action Network (FAN), African Itinerant College on Culture and Development (AICCD), Women and Law in East Africa (WLEA), and the Centre for Law and Research International (CLARION). Her research areas of focus include, communication and HIV and AIDS, media and conflict, media and gender, and in general media and communication areas. She has solid experience as a trainer, facilitator and convenor of workshops, seminars and conferences, having participated in the conceptualisation and implementation of meetings for institutions such as the University of Western Ontario (with the School), the Association for Free and Independent Press (AFIP), and the Association of African Women on Research and Development (AAWORD).

Wambui has a Doctorate degree from the University of Nairobi, specialising in Health Communication, a Masters degree from the University of Western Ontario (UWO), Canada; a Post-graduate Diploma in Mass Communication and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature and Arabic from the University of Nairobi.

Tom is a Lead Consultant in Media and Journalism at PICL. A veteran journalist and manager, Tom has served in media across Eastern Africa and beyond, rising from newsroom positions to the top leadership in media. Tom is the immediate past Group Editor-in-Chief and Executive Director of the Nation Media Group. Previously, he was the Chief Operating Officer of the Nation Media Group and the Managing Director of Monitor Publications Ltd in Uganda.

Earlier, Tom was the Group CEO of Standard Group (2003-2006), among other positions he held in the Nation Media Group. He also served twice as the Vice Chair of the Media Owners Association in Kenya. In his long career in media and communication, Tom worked at UNICEF holding the position of communications manager and editor, serving in New York and in West Africa.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Nairobi, and two AMP certificates from Strathmore Business School and from IESE in New York, among other professional qualifications. He also serves as a Chairman and Board Member in a couple of private and public sector organisations.
