Peter is the Executive Director and CEO of Peterson Integrated Communications Ltd. He is a Communication Specialist with experience spanning over two decades. Peter is a Board Member of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communications management (GA), Association of Public Relations and Communications Management Firms (APRECOM), among other professional leadership positions. Peter is the immediate former President of Africa Public Relations Association (APRA).
Among other leadership portfolio he has held are CEO Kenya Film Commission, founder Board Member of BrandKenya Board, Media Council of Kenya and President of the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK). He has also served as a Board Member at Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and Communications Authority of Kenya.
In his career, he has served in Public Relations and Strategic Communication at Kenya Electricity Generating Company, East African Development Bank, National AIDS Control Council, among other organisations. Peter is also a consultant with the UN on Strategic Communication. He is a Senior Member of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), Fellow APRA and Fellow PRSK. He has spoken in many PR and Strategic Communication conferences globally. He has also published Communication articles in various journals and magazines. Peter has taught media and strategic communication in Daystar University and University of Nairobi in Kenya. His academic credentials include Masters in Business Administration (MBA), BA (Econ), Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication, among other postgraduate qualifications.
Peter has received various awards, key among them The Order of Arts and Letters by the Government of France and decorated with the medal of Chevalier of The Order of Arts and Letters. He is also a recipient of PRSK Golden Honours, a lifetime award that recognizes outstanding achievement in Public Relations.
